This video clearly shows the difference between liberals and conservatives when it comes to rational thinking. Emily Levine’s main points are:

• She likes to start arguments with people about things she knows nothing about
• She knowingly admits that she is in revolt against reason.  For some strange reason this is the pride and joy of modern liberalism. To be irrational is considered a sign of intelligence!
• She will not debate. Liberals will not debate because they can’t win a debate and be irrational at the same time.

That being said, she does bring up the heart of many issues in today’s political-social arguments. These are really debates between the head and the heart, the Newtonian worldview vs. Quantum; is it a particle or is it a wave?

Collectivism is stuck in the idea that the Kosmos is solely composed of waves, and that individualism is just an illusion.  This is generally known as the “web of life” paradigm. The individualists insist that the Kosmos is constructed of individual particles.

I say that the Kosmos is constructed of particle-waves.  I say that we must have a heart that is governed by a head. I say that the purpose of any collective is to support the individual.

Emily is not a stupid person, but intelligent people often fall prey to relativism and collectivism because they refuse to see the contradictions in their own thinking and morals.

What we call “conservative,” with all of its shortcomings, is a far better tool than liberalism. Reason is the greatest tool we have for exploring and discovering truth, and conservatives generally are not in revolt against reason.
