Abraham is a self centered. if god told me to kill my son in order to test my faith i would say ” i don’t care if you are god i am not killing my son. that is evil.” you should live by what’s right regardless of what your god say. Abraham is just trying to get blessings. Abraham’s god needs to find a new way of testing faith. how about doing something that is right.

Hi Ithink you have missed the point here – when Abraham is told to go and sacrifice Isaac, he says to his servants, ‘I and the boy will go there, worship and RETURN to you.’ Abraham knew from his conversations with the Lord that through his (Isaac’s) seed, his line would be continued. That is what sets him apart from others, his faith in the Lord – he trusted God that He would not allow the sacrifice of Isaac take place and that he would return home.
