Except you forget – there is no God.

God exists dude. Stop saying this or else you’ll burn in hell

You’re IQ is very low, you suffer from mental illness. I will be praying for you :)

Matthew, thank you so much for this. There will be (are) those who will say that you’re wrong, that you don’t know what you’re talking about…but they’re mostly “ex-gay” types like Matt Moore who pretty much have to disagree with you or else admit that they’re lying. I read some of his response to this talk that you gave and he comes off as a bitter, petulant child.

Thank you for the strength and the courage to tell the world what many of us already knew – that God loves us as we are!

FOB suffers from a mental illness for being a critical thinker? Oh the horror!

  6. suvariboy on December 26, 2012 at 4:50 am

It’s not. It’s far worse to be a deceitful, judgmental (alleged) Christian.

  7. suvariboy on December 26, 2012 at 4:54 am

Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed by a god. They were built on land with high counts of sulfur and bitumen. They burned to the ground after a fire was started. Fires such as these were quite common back then when people had open flames inside their houses.

The stories in the bible were written by men with an agenda. Most of the stories were taken from earlier cultures and re-told by the authors of the books of the bible. This is something that some christians refuse to consider.

I’m 45 and I’ve been in a loving, caring, monogamous same-sex relationship for more than 23 years. I’ve known I was gay since I was very young. I was born gay. Please don’t speak for me or others like me. Being gay is not “realy realy bad,” but it can be difficult. It’s not easy living your life being told that you should pretend to be something that you’re not to please others. It’s not easy being cast out of society. It’s not easy but dealing with this can make you a stronger person.

So now the Christianists are marking comments they don’t agree with as spam?
    not very mature.

White’s rebuttal leaves much room for doubt. Matthew is not presenting views to us in this talk that others before him haven’t already expressed. You might have a second degree in theology but that doesn’t mean you’ll necessarily approach the information in this talk with an open mind. In fact, you didn’t. Not only that you attack Vines by saying that he doesn’t have any degrees…thus he can’t be correct. How many degrees did Paul and Peter hold? You don’t question them.

While I agree with you, I was hoping he would show his belief in the justification. Not so much to start an argument, but to understand his state of mind.

I am a liberal, and being so means I accept the differences that people have, but don’t discredit the fact we are all the same species and should support one another.

more than 23 years? its mean u are not born gay at all juz choice

  14. suvariboy on December 26, 2012 at 10:20 pm

Like I said above, I’ve been with my man for 23 years. No regrets. I find it curious that people like yourself seem so certain that we can’t be born gay…with no proof. Who are you to say? I’m gay. Born that way. It seems as though you’re the one who is naive. And quite obtuse.

quite the church , god created u , not church . bible are written by human not god

What is truly unatural and deviant ,is men who make up a being that does not exist. What is even more deviant ,are men who claim to know what a non existant being says ,in order to control and dominate the thoughts and free thinking of those around them .Religion is a way to de naturalize that wich is natural .A way to say ‘ i am better and more deserving than you”".It is a way to control others,by lazy men who know how to write ,and manipulate ,and create their own little fantasies.

  17. TheDany41 on December 28, 2012 at 4:05 am

@rjorg22 what is deviant and obviously a cry for help is an atheist looking and commenting on a situation that presumably givrn their religion has nothing to do with them. whats the point in commenting on something you don’t believe in anyways? I dont go on leprechaun forums and talk noise about things I don’t believe in so whats your point? could it be you wish someone would give you a reason to belive?

  18. hitmanfxk on December 28, 2012 at 5:23 am

Very eloquent, well thought and well presented points indeed.
I wonder.. how many of the people leaving negative comments here actually listened to any of the speech. I am guessing very few of them (if any?) actually did.
If people did listen to the speech, really there is nothing that can justify the vilification and condemnation by the (many) religious people against homosexuals.
I am including all religions as all the books had been being interpreted by human beings.

  20. deane8 on December 28, 2012 at 12:34 pm

I am guessing that, although you stated in your comment that being gay is “juz choice”, you do not believe your heterosexuality is a choice. So if your sexuality is not a choice, you must accept that my homosexuality is not a choice either.
I would also like to ask you if you actually listened to any of the speech in this youtube clip? Or did you just simply visit this page to put forward your opinion without any thoughts?

  21. deane8 on December 28, 2012 at 12:37 pm

and your spelling is bad :-)

It’s “your IQ”, not “you’re IQ”.

I will be praying for your spelling skill to improve. LOL

  22. deane8 on December 28, 2012 at 12:45 pm

    H. N Bean – you’re so funny.
I notice you’re posting lots of comments disagreeing with Matthew Vines. But did you actually listen to the speech? Or are you just determined to believe whatever you think without listening to other people’s points of views and interpretation.
Religious scriptures are just that: scriptures. A collection of words and stories from thousands of years ago. Your beliefs are in fact an interpretation of the words.
