This is one SANE creation.. This is not just Theological but also The LOGICAL one too!!!
I’m pretty sure people of every religion, region, be it theists or Atheist who use their ‘Reasons’ will accept it.
Except the orthodox – who is so imbibed in their belief to every cells of them(unfortunate!!) & the..
Religious Leaders(of course the church!) – Who makes their ‘Fortunes’ and power out of their theology!!!

Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus. He saw the glory of Christ, thus why he was blind.

    1. You have misunderstood evolution. Life *may* adapt to an existing or changing environment, but it does not arise as a result of adaptation.
    2. Re SETI, I was responding to an atheist, who decided to do an arrogant drive-by against a Sunday school video.
    3. I didn’t ask if you care. I asked why. The irrationality of atheism is not just a matter of logic. It’s existential.
    4. JC is the center of history. It’s a fact, whether you say “BC” and “AD or “BCE” and “CE”.

  4. MrReasonforhope on July 20, 2011 at 11:30 pm

You need to watch the video again. Scholars of the time rejected the so-called “gospels” you list. If you want to find people who accept them, you have to look to modern revisionists, who seem to think they are smarter than the scholars of the time.

Also, Paul was accepted by his contemporaries, who were themselves contemporaries of Jesus; and Paul did meet Jesus.

Meanwhile, who might be telling you these untruths about Paul? Maybe a false prophet?

1: Sure. Life ‘may’ adapt and, if not, it ‘may’ cause extinction of that species. I don’t misunderstand at all but, then again, i am not a biologist. Try talking to one
2: Are you in full knowledge that extra-terrestrial life does NOT exists somewhere?.
3: You ask ‘why’. i say that I don’t. Thus the ‘why’ aspect is irrelevant.
4: That is your personal view and not mine. History is written by those who wish you to know what they want you to know. Times have changed. You – fixed.

  6. MrReasonforhope on July 22, 2011 at 2:26 am

    1. You confused the evolution of life with the origin of life. I have spoken with many biologists and have studied biology myself.
    2. I pointed out that, after a 50 year search (so far), not a shred of evidence for ET life - except maybe for one Being you don’t want to find?
    3. So you say you care, but you don’t care about why you care. Is this your idea of logic or reason?
    4. Is everyone using a different calendar now? I missed that.

I wonder how you know I am “fixed”.

  7. CheesesPeaks2U on July 22, 2011 at 4:01 am

1: I confused nothing. You grasp at straws. I, too, have studied biology and am not interested in a pissing contest with a dreamer.
2: Even you can’t find a god. Stop looking? Meanwhile, what are the odds of life elsewhere in the universe? Any idea?
    3: Yes.
4: Calendars have changed. Did you not get the memo?
This conversation is of such diminished interest to me that this is my last response. I know from experience how futile it is to converse with those with closed minds.

    excellent informative video

  9. MrReasonforhope on July 23, 2011 at 1:17 pm

    Futile?

You refuse to admit numerous factual mistakes about science and history. You make unprovoked attacks on the faith of other people. You admit that you have no reason to care about the things you care about. You jump to conclusions about people you don’t know. Then you fire off one last flaming denial of God’s existence and head for the hills.

I hope, though, that it is not futile to converse with the closed-minded. There is always hope that they might change.

I don’t get why you had to say the Council of Nicea was inspired by God. You said that they did their research on the subject, and no God needed to hold a giant magnifying glass. Although, they probably left out a few books that would/should be considered “inspired”

  11. memully on August 21, 2011 at 5:47 pm

Written by humans – true. Inspired by god? – No, I don’t think so.

  12. JakobDailes on August 27, 2011 at 6:24 pm

Um, if they weren’t inspired by God, that means they could have made a mistake and there might be books that are untrue. Also, they definitely prayed a LOT while they looked into each book. So, unless God isn’t real, the Bible must be inspired by Him, and totally true (if I was God, I wouldn’t want my holy book full of lies, would I?)

  13. Mectrixctic on August 27, 2011 at 8:07 pm

    @JakobDailes

Yeah, just like how everything we know about history were written by normal men not inspired by God and not totally true. Although we know for sure that several parts of the bible aren’t true (like the Exodus) so it makes sense if God didn’t inspire the whole thing.

But then again God isn’t real, so the books aren’t inspired at all. If I was God I’d make myself more apparant.

  14. JakobDailes on August 27, 2011 at 8:39 pm

I was speaking as if God is real, dude. Could you save the jargon for a video actually having to do with Christianity vs. Atheism. Cuz when you make comments like that on a purely Christian vid, it just makes you look rude.

  15. Mectrixctic on August 27, 2011 at 11:00 pm

    @JakobDailes

Hey, this video brought the topic up. And you said if God inspired the Bible it would be 100% true. It isn’t, so God musn’t have inspired the whole thing were he to exist.

3:00 “Canonisation was a process guided by God” is a baseless assumption.

  17. Dyler Turden on September 7, 2011 at 6:38 am

I thought this was going to be a RATIONAL explanation but when he said “by God” I thought wrong…

  18. Robikus on September 20, 2011 at 5:02 pm

LOL, hilarious how misleading this is.

I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours

Who wrote the Holy Bible? = 250 (english)
    -250 seconds = 4.1666 minutes (not 4 min 16 sec)
    -4:16 = 16:16
-What is God’s Number? = 1616 (Jewish Gematria)

    4.16 minutes = 4:10 (min/sec)
    -4:10 PM = 16:10
    -161.0 Days = 6/10 (jun 10)
